Easy to make and fun to eat, this recipe for Cheesy Hot Dog Rolls is great for kids. All you need are slices of Dempster’s® White Bread, hot dogs, and some cheddar cheese and you're ready to start rolling. This recipe is a fun back-to-school lunch treat for little ones and makes a satisfying afternoon snack as well. Serves four.

INGREDIENTS
- 4 slices Dempster's® White Bread
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) shredded Cheddar cheese
- 4 hot dogs
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) ketchup
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut crusts from bread; using rolling pin, roll lightly to flatten bread slices. Sprinkle cheese over bread.
- Place 1 hot dog on each bread slice and roll up; place seam-side down on baking sheet. Brush rolls with beaten egg; bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until rolls are golden brown and toasted. Serve with ketchup for dipping.
