Look for watermelon radishes, which add beautiful colour to these sandwiches.

  • 8 slices Dempster’s® White Bread
  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) softened cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) finely chopped fresh chives
  • 1 1/2 tsp (7 mL) lemon juice
  • 4 radishes, very thinly sliced


Mix together cream cheese, chives and lemon juice; spread over 4 slices of bread. Top with radish slices. Cap with remaining bread slices, pressing lightly. Cut crusts from bread; cut each sandwich into 4 triangles.

Tip: To make ahead, cover with a damp tea towel and refrigerate until serving.
